There can be many reasons for your cravings. For instance, perhaps your eating foods that have been striped of nutrients, and your body is just trying to get more nutrients. Then again perhaps your just bored. You might be an emotional eater?
For me, my body might just didn't know anything else. I was raised on crap food. So I had to slowly introduce healthy foods into my life. Your first goal should be to stop gaining weight and learning about healthy foods. That is a less stressful goal, then losing lots of weight right away.
I started with healthier breads because I am a big bread eater. So, that really had to be the first thing to change. I found a bread outlet store, so I could try different breads cheaply. I learned what is good and bad about breads. Then I stuck with the bread thing until I found what worked for me.
One step, then I took another step portion control, and then another learning about vegetables, how to cook what I like, which ones have more nutrition ..etc.

So why do you think you have cravings ?

Default Try harder

It is tough. Drinking more fluid helps. Keep healthy snacks around, I dehydrate my own organic pumpkin seeds fo example.

Default RE: Helpless with Food

I'm a food lover too and from my own experience I suggest you try a diet plan. I am on an online diet plan. I have been using it the for past 2 months and I lost 9 pounds. It's a low calorie diet - completely natural & nutritious. The best part is that they provide snacks for you as well.
